Can you include a heading section in the Forum for Land Registry. They have initiated a project to convert all their paper mapping record into a digital cadastral database which is scheduled to take five years to complete. The first County of Westmeath is scheduled to go live on 1st January 2006, so there are many issues relating to this significant change which require discussion.
I intend to publish a series of discussion papers on a range of issues in the IIS newsletter and on the forum page of the IIS website to stimulate a debate and try to arrive at a consensus on how the Institution should proceed in these matters.
